There is one Mini-Soccer and one Youth League affiliated directly to Huntingdonshire FA that provide Mini-Soccer to Youth Football participation. In addition there are Mini-Soccer/Youth Leagues in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire which our clubs also play in.

As part of the FA Charter Standard Leagues Programme, all of the leagues affiliated in Huntingdonshire have been awarded the FA's Charter Standard League Status. This demonstrates that they are committed to implementing the contents of their League Development Plans into grassroots football which have been constructed alongside The Huntingdonshire FA Football Development Team.

Following the Youth Football Review 2015 season leagues offer exciting opportunities for the young players to enjoy, learn and play grassroots football. Small sided formats such as 5v5 are at the forefront of delivery within The Hunts Mini-Soccer league, designed to increase number of touches of the ball, develop confidence and skill in 1v1 situations which will assist in the long term player development of young footballers in Huntingdonshire. Players and parents are able to enjoy a fun, high quality grassroots football game in a safe environment.

The Huntingdonshire FA Football Development team provides all Youth Leagues with resources and advice which assist in the following areas:

  • Increase Participation throughout the Game
  • Increase the number of FA Charter Standard Clubs
  • Increase the number of FA Charter Standard Leagues
  • Increase the number of active Referees
