FA Disability Workforce fund

Funding to support disability football.

Developing Football Opportunities.

Huntingdonshire FA and Cambridgeshire FA have joined together to appoint a new Football Development Officer (Disability). The sole focus of the role is to support, maintain and grow disability football across both County FAs over the next three years.

The FA Disability Workforce Fund programme will be delivered across a 3 year period (2016 – 2019) to increase participation in competitive and recreational opportunities, upskill Football coaches and the development of a Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire Disability Football Steering Group.

The programme is part funded by the FA's Disability Workforce Fund and has received an additional funding boost from the Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. Huntingdonshire FA received £15,000 from the Postcode Community Trust to enable delivery of the disability project.

Dean Watson, Hunts FA County Development Manager, said: “A big thank you goes to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, as this grant will help Hayley with her supporting players with disabilities to participate in football across both Huntingdonshire FA and Cambridgeshire FA areas.”

When you sign up to play People’s Postcode Lottery, your postcode is your ticket. A minimum of 30% goes directly to charities across Great Britain and internationally. It costs £10 for 10 draws paid monthly in advance.
