Growing your club

Football is played for fun by millions across England every week and is reliant on volunteers to deal with club administration.

It may be a daunting thought to think about methods to expand and grow your club, but there is lots of help available.

Huntingdonshire FA are delighted to be able to bring you a few hints and tips which will hopefully will give you some useful guidance when looking to attract new players, volunteers and investment to your club.

Yes you can, there are many ways in which you can get funding support. 

Grow the Game is a grant available through the Football Foundation that awards grants of £1,500 over three years to support the growth with in the following groups:

  • Male Football U14 upwards
  • Female Football
  • Disability Football

Hunts FA will support the addition of five new teams through providing Footballs, Bibs and Cones to help with reducing the start up cost for a new team. The following groups can apply:

  • Male Football U14 upwards
  • Female Football
  • Disability Football

Awards for All - funding from £300 to £1,000 to support what matters to people and communities, that includes:

  • equipment,
  • one-off costs,
  • small capital projects,
  • staff costs,
  • training costs - coaching courses etc...
  • transport
  • utilities/running costs
  • volunteer expenses
