FA Cup Success for Local Sides

The dream stays alive for St Neots and St Ives Town!

Local sides St Neots and St Ives Town create history in the FA Cup after they both secured places in the third qualifying round after two fantastic games.

St Neots kept us all on our toes after they cemented their place following their emphatic 4-3 comeback against Romulus after they found themselves 3-0 down within the first 20 minutes. Goals from Sembie-Ferris (2), Wood (1) and Herd (1) enabled St Neots to redeem themselves, snatching a late victory in a dramatic game full of action.

Local rivals St Ives joined them in the hat after seeing opposition Grantham off at the second time of asking in the replay away from home. They advanced to the third qualifying round for the first time.

Games are set to take place on Saturday 6th October at 3pm with St Neots taking on Coalville at home and St Ives travelling to York City.

Hunts FA wish both teams the best of luck in the next round.
