Hunts FA FDO Hopes For World Cup Success

Football Development Officer, Gary Marheineke, sets his sights on winning the Amputee World Cup

Thought the excitement of the World Cup was over and done with? Think again.

Hunts FA's Gary Marheineke boarded a plane to Mexico yesterday with the rest of the England Amputee squad as they set out to come home World Champions.

After last years heartbreak in the European Championship final against Turkey, the team look to redeem themselves and wish to come away with nothing less than a gold medal. They head to Mexico among the favourites and with an unbeaten run of fourteen games, you can see why!

The game, which is seven a side and played on a smaller pitch is a fast and entertaining version of the sport and is well worth a watch.

We wish Gary and the team the best of luck and will be following their journey every step of the way! If you wish to stay in the thick of the action, follow @AmputeeFootball on Twitter for updates and links.
