Celebrating Community Award Winners

The Huntingdonshire FA Community Awards sponsored by McDonald’s and The FA took place on Saturday 1st October 2016, at St Neots Town FC. These Awards

In February 2016 a seven week nomination period took place with people putting forward their grassroots heroes from within the county. Following this a judging panel selected this year’s winners for their invaluable commitment to the grassroots game week in, week out.

This year’s winners were:

  • ICA Sports FC – The Huntingdonshire FA Charter Standard Club of the Year
  • Ramsey Colts Football Development FC – The Huntingdonshire FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year
  • St Ives Rangers Colts FC – The Huntingdonshire FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year
  • Sally Rothery  – The Huntingdonshire FA Volunteer of the Year
  • Phoebe Webb – The Huntingdonshire FA Young Volunteer of the Year
  • Ces Serluca – Out Standing Contribution to Community Football
  • Park Farm Pumas FC – Respect and Fair Play Award
  • Golden Knight FC – Respect and Fair Play Award
  • Bill Tatman – 25 Years Referee Long Service Award

County Development Manager Dean Watson said “We are fortunate to have so many fantastic clubs, leagues and volunteers who help us strive towards providing better and more footballing opportunities for players.

“We know how much work goes into football on a weekly basis and The Huntingdonshire Community Awards supported by McDonald’s allow us to say thank you to those who dedicate so much time to the game cross the county.”

The Huntingdonshire FA also recognised referee Bill Tatman for the valuable service he has given as a referee over the last 25 years.
